Los alumnos de 2ºESO B han tenido esta llamada una videollamada con sus amigos de República Checa para conocerse, dentro del proyecto eTwinning «Learning Englis with Englis songs» que estamos llevando a cabo este año.
Los alumnos se pesentaron, contestaron a algunas preguntas y cantaron la canción que hemos trabajado este mes, la de «Perfect», de Ed Sheeran.
Desde aquí dar muchas gracias a Alba, profesora de inglés, que sin ella este proyecto no sería posible

Los alumnos de 3º ESO A que están matriculados en la materia de Unión Europea han participado esta mañana en una videollamada con alumnos de Turquía, que también están participando en el proyecto eTtwinning «Learning English with English songs». Los alumnos se han presentado en inglés, se han hecho preguntas sobre los gustos musicales y por último dos alumnas de Turquía han cantando en directo la canción de «Perfect» de Ed Sheeran, que es la que hemos trabajado este mes. Quisiera dar las gracias a mis compañeras de inglés. Valle y Elvira, por haber preparado estupendamente a nuestros alumnos. Sin ellas, este proyecto no sería posible, y a la dirección del centro del IES Quintana de la Serena, por facilitar siempre estas actividades tan enriquecedoras para nuestros alumnos ya que conocer a chic@s de otros países de Europa, su cultura y se dan cuenta que aprender inglés, es más que una asignatura, es un idioma que te permite comunicarte en cualquier parte del mundo.

The 19 th November , the English Department organised an exciting activity for our ESO students to attend an English play at the local cinema theatre. The chosen play was MacBeth’s and it was performed by Face 2 Face company who places the famous tragedy of Shakespeare in a fast food restaurant, where Macbeth is a cheating kitchen assistant. This tragedy, skillfully transformed into a social satire, illustrates how the unchecked ambition and greed of the Macbeth couple lead them to ruin while the audience burst into laughter. Once again, Face 2 Face succesfully brought students closer to the world of Shakespeare in an enjoyable and entertaining way. The play provided an engaging experience that allowed students to see the language in action and it was an opportunity for them to connect with the language in a fun and interactive way. The theatre visit was a success, fostering a love for the English language and encouraging students to explore more cultural activities in the future.
This Halloween , the English Department organised three exciting activities to celebrate the spooky season!
First, students got creative by decorating the doors of their classrooms. Each door was turned into a unique Halloween masterpiece, showcasing the students’s artistic talents and festive spirit. From spooky ghosts to colourful pumpkins, the decorations brought a fun and vibrant atmosphere to our school.
In addition to the door decorating, we held a thrilling rap contest. Students showcased their lyrical skills and creativity by writing and performing their own Halloween themed raps.
Finally, some second-year students decided to celebrate Halloween with a thrilling activity: a haunted passage.It took place in the school’s gymnasium , which was transformed into a chilling maze filled with eerie decorations, spooky sounds, flickering lights and unexpected surprises.
All the activities were a huge success , fostering teamwork and creativity among students as well as a fantastic opportunity for everyone to express themselves and enjoy some friendly competitions. We look forward to more fun events in the future!
El departamento de Inglés junto con un grupo de estudiantes de 2º ESO ha diseñado un Pasaje del Terror para celebrar esta tradicional fiesta anglosajona.
En pasaje ha sido verdaderamente terrorífico a la par que divertido.
